Last updated: May 5, 2026. Warden Guard is committed to protecting your data in accordance with the AVG (GDPR).

1. Who we are

Warden Guard is a shared Minecraft ban network operated from the Netherlands. We provide fraud and cheat prevention services to Minecraft server operators. Contact: mexzplays@gmail.com

2. What data we collect

When a player joins a Minecraft server connected to our network, we process the following data:

  • Minecraft UUID - a unique identifier assigned by Mojang, linked to your account.
  • Username - your Minecraft username at the time of joining.
  • IP address (hashed) - your IP address is immediately hashed using HMAC-SHA256 with a secret key before storage. The raw IP address is never persisted. This hash cannot be reversed.
  • Ban records - if you are banned on a connected server, the ban reason, level, and evidence submitted by server staff is stored.

For dashboard users (server operators) who log in via Discord, we additionally store your Discord ID, username, and avatar.

3. Lawful basis

We process player data on the basis of legitimate interest (AVG art. 6(1)(f)). The processing is necessary to prevent fraud, cheating, and ban evasion across connected gaming servers. This interest is proportionate - only the minimum data needed for enforcement is stored, and IP addresses are stored only as irreversible hashes.

4. How we use your data

  • To detect players who are evading bans using alternative accounts (alt detection)
  • To synchronise active bans across connected Minecraft servers
  • To allow server staff to review and manage ban reports

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties outside of connected servers participating in the network.

5. Data retention

  • IP history - retained indefinitely to support ongoing ban enforcement and network security.
  • Ban records - retained for the duration of the ban and for a reasonable period thereafter for accountability purposes.
  • Dashboard sessions - expire after 7 days.

6. Your rights (AVG / GDPR)

Under the AVG you have the following rights:

  • Right of access - you may request an overview of data we hold about you.
  • Right to erasure - you may request deletion of your personal data (IP history, report tokens). If you have an active or permanent ban, your Minecraft UUID, username, and known alternative accounts are retained under our legitimate interest (AVG art. 6(1)(f)) and for the defence of legal claims (AVG art. 17(3)(e)) to enforce the ban. No IP addresses are retained.
  • Right to object - you may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to restriction - you may request restriction of processing pending a dispute.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at mexzplays@gmail.com with your Minecraft username and UUID. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

7. Security

IP addresses are hashed using HMAC-SHA256 with a server-side secret before storage, making them non-reversible. All data is stored on servers located in the Netherlands. Access to the database is restricted to authorised administrators.
